Lois Maxine died at the age of 70, resulting from emphezema, and heart disease. She had stopped breathing, several times. Her maiden name was Taylor. She was married once to Luther Edward Powell in 1952, who died of heart failure in 1987, and then again to Pearl Lee Mounce in 1992. She had seven children, 6 daughters, and one son. She also lost a daughter in 1963, at 18 months old, resulting from New Monia and chicken pox. Lois was the sweetest person you would ever want to know. She loved giving to people. She loved to see them smile. She would give away everything she had just to bring a smile to someone's face. She always had soft hands, and kind words. She spoiled all of her grandkids. She loved family get togethers, and being around her family, especially during the holidays. She loved flower gardens. Sunflowers were her favorite, it always reminded her of summer. she always made quilts for every newborn, born into the family. Sowing was a favorite pasttime. She gave so much to her family and friends. Everyone that knew her loved her. We all miss her very much.
If Roses grow in Heaven,
Lord please pick a bunch for me,
Place them in my Mother's arms
and tell her they're from me.
Tell her I love her and miss her,
and when she turns to smile,
place a kiss upon her cheek
and hold her for awhile.
Because remembering her is easy,
I do it every day,
but there's an ache within my heart
that will never go away.
You have left me with many memories;
I miss you everyday.
Sometimes I think of you,
Not more than today.
You'll never be forgotten,
In my heart you are there to stay.
I wish I could talk to you,
Where ever you may lay.
But that would take a miracle;

Grandma, I love you and Thank you for always being there for me and for everything you have always done for me. You were always there when I need you and I miss you so much. I miss the time we spent together and I would give anything to have that back again. I love you with all my heart.

I know you had a hard life, and you gave up so much for your family, and their happiness. I know you have done so much for me, and I thank you for that. You have always been there for me, providing me with anything and everything I could ever need or want. Thank you so much. I love you with all my heart, and I miss you so much. You mean more to me, than you ever knew. I think about you everyday, and I miss you horribly. I can't wait to see you, again. You were such a wonderful person, and helped anyone in need, and for this I know you are in Heaven, with the Angels above, sharing your love with all those who are there with you. I love you so much and I will never forget you. Grandma, I LOVE YOU!
